I think the information I gained via this experience is valuable to all of us. After moving to Eureka Springs, my health began to decline. One of the things that bothered
me deeply was the continual bickering-intensity-negativity
among the people of the community. Not that this negative reflection is the only reflection in Eureka Springs, as this small township is quite charming and absolutely beautiful! As a natural psychic or empath, I have tracking ability; so I decided to track this intense negative energy
itself on an astral level, in a meditative state. This negative energy quite overwhelming to me at times. At first the energy led me to many bickering people. I thought how strange. This
intensity is not coming directly from these people, but coming through them. They are simply expressing the negative energy that is moving through them. I continued to track or follow this
negative energy itself, beyond the people, coming to several energy vortexes. A vortex is similar to a tornado, except the energy is invisible to the naked eye. The energy of a vortex swirls around
magnetically just like a tornado. Some people have the ability to sense magnetical differences in energy, and although they can not see the vortex they can feel it. A vortex throws out an immense amount of energy,
which frequently attracts people to the vicinity of that vortex. They feel the energy coming from the vortex. Case in point with Eureka Springs, and with other places like Sedona in Arizona. All people sense energies
coming from a vortex, but may not be conscious of their awareness. They just feel an attraction or liking to a specific region or location. Back to the subject... As I continued to track the negativity I
came to the largest vortex, which seemed to me to be a large hole 5-6 foot across and 12-15 foot deep. I knew this hole existed somewhere in real reality! Somewhere within Eureka Springs, now my next
move was to track the hole in physical reality. Being new to Eureka Springs, I was not aware of Basin Spring at that point in time. I knew there were springs all around town, but knew no specifics or the where
abouts of any of them. The next day I had a conversation with a woman named Josie in front of our business. I had never met her before but felt drawn to tell her of my experience. She responded that I was speaking of
Basin Spring in Basin Park. The hole I was referring to was the well hole in the concrete. As the original rock basin, referred to as Basin Spring is beneath the poured concrete substructure of Basin Park.
The basin in which I refer, is itself not the origin of the spring,
but the rock basin used for centuries by native Indians for collecting the water coming from the spring. As the water was reputed to have healing capacity to the eyes. Many different native tribes used this spring for it's healing waters. There was a peaceful sharing of the spring's healing waters.
The origin of the spring is slightly above the park, a natural spring. Water then runs downhill underground and then collected in this large stone basin. The water then flows out of the stone basin and
downstream through underground waterways. Thus this spring was named Basin Spring. This rock basin was the original center of Basin Park. Basin Spring was not always enclosed as it is today with the concrete payment
that became the ground level of Basin Park as it stands today. After visiting Basin Park and looking down the well hole, I ran into Josie again. Speaking with her I said I had found the well hole, and yes it was
indeed the hole I was looking for. Oddly enough though, I did not see a spring or basin down the well-hole, only gravel. Where was the original Basin Spring? Apparently completed covered over with
sand, silt and gravel and years of neglect. I was now certain it was the source of the negativity I had been tracking. I told Josie I would love to clean the spring.
To my surprise she said she had a summer job working in Basin Park, and she would see what she could arrange with Eureka Spring's Park Department. Several people came later that same week on a Saturday morning and
we cleaned Basin Spring. I was astounded at just how much trash and silt came out of that well hole, before we actually found the original rock basin. What a thrill to find it! Basin Spring had completely silted
over with about 10 inches of silt, along with all sorts of trash and debris. It had been years since it had last been cleaned. We took out about 8 trash bags of trash, dead debris, silt, and gravel from around and
inside the basin itself. We were all delighted when we finally found the rock basin. It was apparently long-forgotten! May I remind you Basin Spring is the most powerful healing spot in Eureka Springs. Basin
Spring blessed Eureka with much of it's fame in regard to healing aspects of the waters in the late 1890s and early 1900s. Have we all lost a sense of respect for what was before us? I told Josie I would like to
give a gift to the spring, Josie said she had the perfect gift! Great! Josie brought a crystal she had dug up herself in Arkansas. The crystal she brought stunned me, it was close to two feet
long. It lies today still in Basin Spring as a reminder that there are sensitive people who care and remember. That there are people who respect the earth and it's gifts to mankind.
Thankful for the gift of healing - living water. We could not live here without this gift! After cleaning the spring, we placed the crystal directly in the basin where water flows over and past the crystal.
Terminal end pointing in the direction of the flow of water, amplifying the flow of water and energy. This releasing and amplifying pent up energy coming from the vortex itself. Most of the body of the crystal lies in
the actual rock basin submerged in water and can not be seen. But if you look
down the well-hole you can see part of it protruding up and out of the water. Placing this large crystal in the flow of the water will amplify the flow of energy and help release blocked or stagnant energy i.e. the negativity. The overall emotional intensity or negativity surrounding the community was less in comparison after that.
I found it to be a funny fact that one week later, almost to the hour... downstream from the spring and only one block away... a very large parking lot simply caved in. No apparent reason for the
parking lot to cave in. The water from this spring flows directly under that parking lot. Hummm ... coincidence? I think not!
I noticed afer our cleaning Basin Spring that the energy coming up the vortex was splitting or dividing. There was a sign naming Basin Spring that had been hung originally directly over the top of the cast iron
enclosure of the spring. This sign was causing the upward flow of the vortex' energy to split or divide into two separate channels. I informed several people of this fact at the time. It's said united we stand,
divided we fall! Hopefully the city will correct this issue of earth energy. I can't help but wonder if this split energy creates separation and division at large. I believe it does, as in air - energy movement.
I am happy at the progress at hand, that Basin Spring is now visable and water flows thru her! The natural beauty of this area is still drawing people here a hundred years
after Basin Spring's fame and fortune. Eureka Springs was famous for those healing waters and it's natural beauty!Over the years since this experience I within my mind continue to check on the spring. On several
occasions when I was meditating on Basin Spring I found a very old Indian man there, not physically... but within my mind. I sometimes clearly see or feel his presense. I would project thoughts to this man, a basic
hello and also asking him why he was always there at the spring or basin. I always found him down in the well hole, close to the rock basin. Most of the time he ignored me, or my presence. This old Indian man a spirit
person as I call them, a person passed on from our physical reality. Eventually he projected thoughts and feelings back to me. He told me he had been a medicine man in his tribe. He had loved the spring and respected
it's healing waters. That he came to visit the spring daily as he always had in life, and continues now even after death. He was very angry now, at how the spring had been mistreated or disrepected. He had been a
medicine man or holy man in his tribe. His tribe had used this basin for the water's healing purposes. It was obvious he had for years been consumed with his feelings, and his protecting Basin Spring. His visiting the
spring, a spirit in it's own right ...a holy place. Holy places are meant for communion of spirit. The main thing he was angry about was the fact that the white man had come and isolated this spring from
touch, which was a gift to all from creative forces. He said we had no right to enclose the Basin as it is today, to isolate it. No one could see the basin in its previous silted condition, let alone touch the basin or
the healing waters flowing through her. The spring had been all but forgotten, he said. This medicine man was lonely, isolated, was so alone he had begun to curse us living here in Eureka Springs on sacred holy ground.
I personally believe there was much anger inside his heart at what the white man had done to his people, let alone the spring. He had such intense angry energy, or negativity consuming him. I projected more
thoughts and love toward him, I suggested he let go of his post. To release his self appointed task of communing with or protecting this spring.
To simply let go of his self appointed post and move toward the light of God. I promised him there are other people sensitive to the needs of others, to the needs of the planet.
There are many who do & will respect the need of love and touch! That it was not his sole responsibility to caretake this Basin Spring. That the responsibility to caretake our world, our planet
belongs to each and every one of us. I have not recently felt this old Indian man's presence in my trips to check on Basin Spring and the waters flowing through her. I believe he has given up his post. I believe
he has returned to the light and to God. I think it is important for all of us to realize the impact we have upon each other, and the impact of our emotions - the affect of such on both, our self and others
. We impact one another's life more than we realize. The unseen energy coming from us - our intense emotion causes reaction, just like a pebble throw into a pool of water... ripples become waves...
Humans are like small vortexes throwing off energy that can be loving or intense! To think, this negativity I had sensed was coming from just one voice, just this one individual's negativity - so strong I felt
it, reacted to it with ill health. This negativity amplified through each of us in Eureka Springs, as if we were stereo speakers. Creating huge waves of negativity! An invisible tidal wave!
How many other negative voices are there in Eureka, or out there in our world? We owe it to our self and to others to master our own negative emotions or our intensities.
To come to a place where we can find inner peace inside our heart, and find peace with one another.
Peace is the result or affect of lack of conflict. Inner emotional balance and stability key factors. It is symbolic
that Basin Spring was recently cleaned again Independence Day - 2000. This day significant to each of us here in the USA – significant to our personal independence and freedom, we have freedom of choice here in
America that people in other countries only dream of. Are we overbearing at times in our assertive pursuit of supposed freedom and personal success? Power is a strange energy,
true power actively rules in favor of all things, it creates solution and resolution at the same time. A false sense of power rules in a one-handed or selfish fashion. In this country we have freedom
beyond our wildest dreams that most of us take for granted, and this freedom offers us tremendous power. The power of choice, power of thought, power of creativity.
In our freedom, can we - you - me actively choose peace over conflict? Can we effectively deal with our own negative voices on a daily basis?
Can we use our freedom and power of choice to remember the forgotten, the unfortunate, the unseen. Can we choose to value our life, and still value other's lifestyles
at the same time? Can we remember our freedom is worth fighting for, but not be caught in the belief we always have to fight to keep this freedom. Or conveying our freedom is everyone else's
dream of freedom, and they damn well should have it! Again do we use our power to simply overpower others? Balance in all things is key! The universe spins all about us in perfect balance and in
harmony. We are lucky to live here, both in America and in Eureka Springs. We each have the freedom to choose which path we follow. So...who are we as individuals, what about you,
what are your choices, what has your voice or words been saying lately? 2000-2006
We live in North Florida now. Oddly enough again in another region laden with numerous natural springs. Link> if you care to see more of this world's natural wonders! Onward with Eureka...... 2002 We just came through Eureka Springs going north to visit family. I still
check on Basin Spring. Physically and vibrationally. I was happy to report that people there in Eureka are still caring for and cleaning the spring. The basin itself looked clean and the water was running through the
basin very well. It delights me so many people are now involved with all the springs in Eureka Springs. A cleanup is in progress of all the springs, and a mission to restore the quality of the water coming through them.
Maybe one day they will provide healing water once again. The crystal was still in the basin, at the bottom of the well hole. I was happy about just how clear
the water was running though the basin. I was surprised to hear the last couple of times the spring was cleaned, some people - visitors were allowed by Eureka Spring's Park Dept. to go down a ladder and touch the basin and the water flowing through her. WOW! How that was managed, I do not know... but
very, VERY nice Eureka!
Remember eureka means I have found it!healing springs can not heal others unless touched ... diseased or sick springs can not be healed unless touched ...
a baby does not grow well in isolation... likewise with mother earth... remember her... reach out and touch her... love her...
2007 - March Basin Spring Spring Cleanup... is planned again. Gives new meaning to spring cleaning... or is that just an old saying! Basin Spring here we come!
2008 - I had a friend still living in Eureka Springs call me today and tell me that the city is removing the sign causing the vortex' energies to
split. I was amazed at the changes we as humans are making! That we are indeed developing sensitivity to our surroundings.Slowly, but surely! Take faith in the fact we are changing! 2008 - The City of Eureka Springs removed the sign from above Basin Spring!! Double Wow! The energy is no longer split into two separate channels as it arises from this
Vortex. ©ra'mona marie 2002 |
